This documentation has been written for public sector staff: council clerks, lawyers, policy officers, information commissioners and anyone who needs to be able to rely on an open decision in the course of their work. The documentation describes what the tools do and the sources on which they are based. Equally important is what cannot be demonstrated using them.
The documentation is a reference work, not a user guide for operating a language model. Where a ruling is made regarding the reliability of an answer, the documentation explains how that ruling was arrived at. This enables readers to verify the ruling for themselves.
