The menu displays each screen of the console as a tile, grouped according to the screen’s purpose. It can be accessed via the “Menu” button, next to “Dashboard” at the top of the console. From version 1.3.87 onwards, this screen replaces the drop-down lists that previously appeared in that bar.
The groups
- "Favourites": tiles marked with a star. This group is empty and invisible until a favourite is added;
- "Reports": summaries and figures on the system’s performance, such as Overzicht, Data and Trace;
- "Transactions": screens displaying data that is continuously updated, such as Opvragingen, Fouten and Abonnees;
- "Reference tables": settings and tables that rarely change, such as Instellingen, Gebruikers, Antwoordcache and Demogegevens;
- "Explorer": one tile per source, leading to the screen where a call can be made manually. See Verkenner.
A table from the data model that does not have its own screen appears as a tile in ‘Reports’, ‘Transactions’ or ‘Reference Tables’, depending on what the table tracks. See Data for the screen that displays all tables together.
Marking a tile as a favourite
Each tile has an asterisk in the corner. Clicking on it moves the tile to the top of the "Favourites" group; clicking it again removes it from there.
The selection is stored solely on the device on which it was created. No account is involved and nothing is sent to the server: anyone who logs in on another computer or phone will see their own, as yet empty, list there.
Using it on a mobile phone or tablet
The tiles are larger than a standard menu button and are arranged in columns that adjust to the width of the screen. As a result, a tap with a finger is just as likely to hit the tile itself as it is to hit the star in the corner.
