There are four types of message and four destinations. The type of message determines where it is sent. Since version 1.3.7, these destinations have been listed on the website itself, on the ‘Contact’, ‘Report a bug’ and ‘Report a vulnerability’ pages.
A question about the product
Any questions about BesluitBron should be posted on the forum. This also applies to issues. A reply on the forum can also be read by the next person with the same question; a reply sent by email cannot. The address /issues on the site links to the forum. You can read posts without an account. An account is required to post a message, and a post is public.
The forum is run by an organisation other than the foundation behind BesluitBron. It has its own terms and conditions and its own privacy policy. So please do not post any personal data there.
An error on the website or in a connector
Post it on the forum as well. Two pieces of information are needed to reproduce the issue: the page address or the name of the tool, and the version number from the top bar.
First, check ‘Status’. If a source no longer loads, this is not a fault on the part of BesluitBron, and that page indicates this for each source.
An error in the data
Go to the source provider, not to BesluitBron. BesluitBron does not alter the source: it reads the platforms and passes on what they contain. A correction reported here therefore has no effect. The ‘Report an error’ page specifies, for each platform, where the correction should be submitted; see also Bronnen.
The other scenario is where an entity is completely missing. This is usually a gap in the retrieval process rather than in the source, and that report does belong here.
A vulnerability
By email, and never on the forum. A vulnerability that is posted publicly becomes known to everyone reading the forum before anything can be done about it. The ‘Report a vulnerability’ page explains what is and isn’t covered, and what a reporter can expect. The same information is available in a machine-readable format at /.well-known/security.txt.

By email. The route is set out in the privacy and cookie policy.
If you have your own system
The addresses above are taken from the settings and not from the code; see Installatie. A custom installation that does not change BesluitBron:Support:ForumUrl directs its users to the forum for the default setting. If that setting remains blank, no page will mention a forum and every route will go to the email address.
