The connector that makes the tools from all other connectors available at a single address. This connector does not read anything itself.

How the names are formed

Each tool bears the name of its source, separated by a horizontal line. tweedekamer_get_vote is the tool get_vote from Tweede Kamer. The prefixes are:

The prefix serves more than just readability. The toolbox has been tailored to the name. Without the prefix, it could not even be built, as every source has a search_documents.

Three tools do not have a prefix. They do not refer to a single source but to all of them:

• list_capabilities explains which source can answer which question. That is the best place to start at this address;
• platform_status indicates whether a source is still adding new material;
• list_platform_calls returns the calls following a previous response; see Logging en Verantwoording.

The first two take a source as a parameter. The third does not: the ‘request_id’ in a response already identifies that particular call, regardless of which source executed it. Which source that was is stated in the response itself, alongside each call it lists.

Up to version 1.3.40, there was a separate list_platform_calls for each source, making seven in total. Those seven did not work: a request to this address is logged under the connector unified, whilst each of the seven requested a source name. The response was therefore always that no requests were known. From version 1.3.41 onwards, there is a single tool and it works.

What this connector is suitable for

For a question where it is not clear in advance at which level of government it belongs. And for a question that explicitly links these levels: the council's decision, what was published about it, and what the court ruled on the matter.

The price

Over sixty tool descriptions are vying for the assistant’s attention. This takes attention away from the question itself. It also increases the likelihood of the wrong tool being chosen. Anyone who knows which resource is required is better off with the address of that resource; see Connector.

A service, not a platform

This connector has its own address, its own switch and its own connection page, and is therefore counted as a connector. It is not taken into account when determining whether this installation provides a source. This is because an address that merely relays other people’s tools does not keep the service running when all sources are switched off. See Connectorregister.
